We propose to add a dock to our property at 333A Stewart Ave., following the guidelines issued by the town of View Royal, while respecting the wishes and restrictions of DND. This dock will be complimentary and similar to the docks already in existence in the area. There will be no negative affect on our neighbours. There will be no removal of natural landscape. The proposal will not require any additional public infrastructure. The dock will be appx. 9M x 3.5M with a connecting ramp from our new wooden deck of 1.6M width. It will be used for recreational boating, kayaking, etc. We engaged a professional to perform an Environmental Assessment report on the immediate shoreline. He indicated that fish stock and natural habitat will not be negatively affected by our dock.

Construction Steps(owner's point of view)
- level off an existing sloping cement pathway allowing access to a new wooden deck
- add three steps from this cement pathway down to a new wooden deck
- build a wooden deck 1.6M wide along an existing stone wall
- attach a ramp from this wooden deck out to the new floating dock
- dock and ramp to be built off-site and floated into position.

This proposal meets all requirements and guidelines as outlined in the Environmental Protection and Natural Hazard Development Permit Areas, as outlined by View Royal:
- will not alter the contours of the land
- will not negatively impact the ecological health of the immediate area
- will ensure that public access along the shore will be maintained
- it will not limit opportunities for water access for neighbouring private properties
- this dock will be built to only provide us with access to the water and for seasonal boating opportunities
- we have followed and will comply with all guidelines for construction of new docks
- we have had an Environmental Assessment report completed by a professional third party
