Re: Update on Landscape Installation at the Coho

It has been several years since we spoke regarding the Coho, and now that Omicron is beginning to prepare for the Phase 2 landscape installation I thought it might be useful to touch base. As you know, Phase 1 was substantially completed at the end of 2012. That landscape, installed and now maintained by CSL Landscape Contractors, is maturing nicely and has been well received by both the residents and developer. CSL has been contracted for Phase 2 and so we expect the same standard of landscape installation to be achieved through the remainder of the project.

As in Phase 1, Phase 2 site conditions don't align exactly with our drawings and as a result some tree location adjustments will have to be made. We can accommodate all the numbers promised, however, due to rock outcrops and existing trees on the south and north sides of the Phase 2 building, some proposed trees will need to be relocated to the restoration area (hill) that is situated between the entry drive and Phase 1 parking. We anticipate somewhere between 8-15 proposed trees (fir, arbutus &/or Garry oak) will be relocated, resulting in a total of 30-37 trees in that area. The hill is quite large and can easily handle them; in fact it could handle more if need be.

We remain involved in landscape installation review and are pleased that Omicron seeks our input when necessary. Overall we seem to make a good team and have, in fact, reunited with them for Phase 2 of Eagle Creek.
