Chairman and Members of the Board of Variance Town of View Royal

Regarding 2329 Evelyn Heights

Thank you for reviewing and considering my application for a rear yard setback variance to my house at 2329 Evelyn Heights.

The house and deck were built in 1995. The deck now is extremely rotten and dangerous to use. In fact, we can't use it. we would like to rebuild the deck, but enlarge it by 4 feet into the rear yard.

We are asking for a relaxation of the rear yard setback from the 7.5 meters required under the zoning to 6.3 meters. This would allow us to rebuild our deck large enough to accommodate a table and chairs as well as a Barbeque.

I have spoken to my neighbours regarding our proposal and have submitted letters from them in support of it.

I believe that this new deck will compliment the back of my house and will be a nicer structure to look at for my neighbours.

I hope that the Board will consider and approve my requested variance so that I might be able to accomplish the proposed changes.

Regards,

Chris Barker

Thank you again
