  4. Sign: The sign that was damaged has been fixed. We have not yet received the invoice. (Est. $250.)
  5. Greater Victoria Public Library: Christine will be meeting with some members of the GVPL board to brainstorm ways in which they may be able to help us. Some suggestions: a) Re-instate the Inter-Library Loan program b) Assistance with fundraising c) Advice on curating our collection

Other

  1. 80th Anniversary: 2022 marked the 80th year of operation for the VRRC, but COVID put it on the back burner. Although we’d like to have a celebration, there is no money for it. Perhaps we can celebrate the 85th Anniversary?
  2. Times Colonist Book Sale: Diana moved we donate excess books to make room in the back and on the shelves for new books. Lynda seconded. Approved. A purge of older books will take place at the end of March.
  3. Study Carrel: With the impending re-org of our collection, we need to get rid of the study carrel at the back. Lynda moved we take it to ReStore. Jill seconded. Approved.
  4. Christine revisited the re-org plan. It was discussed, but no proposals were tabled.

Next Meeting: Friday, March 10, 2023, 11:30 am.
