Grant impact

The Connectivity & Sound project is directly addressing key hall improvements that will add great value to the usability of the View Royal Hall.

  • The proposed acoustic panels for sound dampening will improve sound quality by addressing the echo and reverberations that are a current challenge with larger capacity gatherings in the space.
  • The addition of sound equipment will also add great value to the hall as a venue, making it an appealing space for a variety of uses.
  • Installing wifi will allow the hall to be used in many new and enhanced ways, particularly given the importance of online participation options in today’s world.

These upgrades will position the hall as a more functional space for community gatherings, meetings and events, and support our priority of ensuring renters and guests have a positive venue experience.

Benefits to View Royal

The upgrades that make up the Connectivity & Sound project will directly benefit the Town of View Royal by providing an accessible community gathering space that offers the required amenities for effective programs, events, and meetings (accessible in a physical sense, as well as financially accessible with very reasonable rental rates).

With these enhanced features, the hall will be a more desirable place for groups to rent (local non profits, neighbourhood initiatives, children’s programming, clubs, or even Town of View Royal staff who may need a larger meeting space).

Indirectly, these upgrades will benefit the View Royal community by bringing more programs and events to the hall – allowing greater connectivity amongst community members with the hall serving as a lively, accessible gathering place for all.
