Details of Item to be Added: During previous discussions on camping in View Royal parks, police explained that they could only offer campers shelter downtown in Victoria. Given the growth of the Westshore in recent years and increase in camping, it is logical that Westshore councils begin discussions about the idea of a Westshore emergency housing shelter. OurPlace who runs a shelter downton Victoria as well as New Roads Recovery Centre in View Royal, may be a good partner to approach. I propose reaching out to Westshore councils to gauge interest.
