Details of Item to be Added: Saanich recently approved their Building Retrofit Strategy, and alongside this, approved the submission of a letter (based on the City of Richmond) to the Province on 'Changes in Provincial Legislation Needed to Address Gas Utilities in BC'. Once there is more staff capacity, I will in the future raise a motion that View Royal also adopt a Building Retrofit Strategy; but in the interim I am proposing that the Town send a similar letter as Saanich and the City of Richmond to the Province regarding legislation for gas utilities.
