Details of item to be added: Council ask CRD to work Songhees First Nation to petition senior levels of government to fund and install a bike lane along the east side of Admirals Road. While Sidewalks are included in the major sewer infrastructure project but this area is a critical gap in cycling safety. The work which would link existing lanes in Saanich and Esquimalt. View Royal's Active Transportation Plan recommends both bike lanes and sidewalk widening along its portion of Admirals. Together this would be a huge safety benefit to both First Nations and the Capital Region.
