Feedback board for what works well today with a map of the corridor and sticky note comments - October 18, 2025

Comments:

  • Easy access to the business + rec centre from Island Hwy
  • Lots of shared/car access
  • Easy access to corridor
  • Bike Park / E&N / Galloping Goose
  • E&N Trail link is reasonable but can be improved as connectivity is limited
  • Easy access between Parsons Bridge + Colwood

Comments:

  • Traffic congestion
  • Active transportation / cycling infrastructure is disconnected / unsafe
  • E&N is disconnected
  • Walking/Cycling to the rec centre is not comfortable / feels unsafe
  • Traffic getting out of Atkins Rd
  • We need the area part back for recreation use — it is overgrown & not fully current used. More walkable shopping centres for the Atkins interchange area
  • Avoidance of slow bus stops
  • Very dangerous to left exit of Price Road now

Comments:

  • I am concerned that we have enough green space to accommodate increased density
  • Active connectivity with enough transit density
  • Keep some of the natural park landscape as relevant/natural edge along with density building
  • Let the railway company ... require our direct transit
  • No Bike lanes for half the length and near the schools
  • More density / LOTS of it (our kids)

Sticky notes with community questions and concerns - October 22, 2025

Comments:

  • The difference between Scenario 1/2/3: 2200 -> 1900 -> 1400 units. How many are taxpaying? To support the inevitable infrastructure upgrades? (water, sewer etc.)
  • What is Colwood doing on the other side of the border?
  • There is already a substantial transit hub at JDF -> does another one so close make sense?
  • Green useable space
  • Infrastructure - JDF -> already no space in programs for families. -> Langford talks about pulling out, can VR afford this? This is the main community space.
  • I really like walking paths
