Replacement Deck Design Development Variance

This letter is to request the Town of View Royal to allow a Zoning variance for the design of a new deck to replace our current deck at #2 Governors Point Rd.

A section of the deck design does not meet the setback required for R1 zoning. If the variance is approved, the new deck would be rectangular rather than almost triangular in shape.

(see attached diagrams and arial photo)

The new deck would give us a very functional and useful deck and enhance our enjoyment of our back yard. It is supported by the adjacent Neighbors at #1 and #3 Governors point Rd and the closest neighbour at Bessborough Close (see attached letters of support).

The deck design will be in keeping of our house design and that of our neighbourhood. The new section of deck will cover the existing back lawn (no trees will be disturbed)
