Correspondence from Brian Richards regarding 335 Stewart Avenue
A letter from the applicant addressing previous council concerns and providing photo references for the proposed storage/boathouse unit.
Good Day Mayor
After watching the deliberation last Tuesday with regards to the neighbouring property Dennis has been building with what is termed boat house application. We have adjusted our plans greatly to reflect the points council members have brought up at our hearing.
- We have removed the Bus stop lounge from application so it is not in the riparian area.
- We have pointed out and clarified on the drawing and supporting Documentation that our initial dock storage unit is much smaller than what was accidentally portrayed in the VR presentation.
- We also have sourced out our original conversations/emails for the building of the super structure and the initial Approval from VR & DND we can provide those although they are from a decent time in the past when Ian was our contact with view Royal. Therefor its understandable that James was not sure what we were referring too when we pointed to this last time.
In an effort to not bombard you with a more pictures and documentation and knowing you are a busy individual, we appreciate the time you have spent looking over our case.
We look forward to the site visit that was suggested and appreciate all of you taking the time out of your busy schedules.
Essential we are in discussion with the intent to requesting a reapplication or revision for a permit to finish the storage unit with 2 walls and 1 glass front that was started on the existing Dock. We have clarified the size being a 142 sqf and fully on the dock over the water.
We are hopeful that Council and staff find themselves in position to review and approve our application.
We’ve attached a couple pictures for reference to show how much effort we’ve put into blending the storage unit into the landscape as naturally as possible.
Cheers
Brian Richards
