Details of item to be added: Requirement for 10% affordable rental housing units in all multi-family rezonings. Within the past few years VR has approved a significant number of new multi-family housing units BUT there is still a need for more afordable rental housing in VR. I am recommending that Council requires a developer to incorporate a minimum of 10% of units as 'affordable rental housing' as a condition of rezoning (to include all property not yet rezoned).
