My name is Patrick Hind and I live at 278 Island Highway Village Grove. I have a complaint to the Council of View Royal.
My patience has run out with this continual construction and delays on the Old Island Highway. First it was the bridge, then it was the rebuilding of the 4 mile hill and for the past seven or so months it has been the construction of the new Condo's on the old Fire Hall lot. We have been subject to delay after delay and quite often almost impossible to get in or out of our driveway. We were assured that the entrance to the new condo's was to be on the north side of the building. To our annoyance it has been placed on the south side adjacent to our driveway. I realise it is impossible to change the entrance to the Condo units now but it will just make it harder to get in and out of our driveway.
However, it is the continual delay after delay on the Island Highway. You have posted signs to inform us when this will cease and we find today you are now predicting August the 15th, this is just not good enough this must end now not at the whim of the Municipality. Today after the announcement that July 31st would see the end it took us 31 minutes to cover the distance from the bridge to our home. The traffic on this road is far too heavy at all times of day and night for any kind of delay.
It is therefore imperative that this over burdened route must be without any further delays as of now not 15 days but immediately
Sincerely Patrick O. Hind
