PURPOSE:
To establish a policy for the signing of cheques.
POLICY:
1.0 All cheques under $25,000 shall be signed by any one of the Treasurer, the Deputy Treasurer or the Chief Administrative Officer and such signature may be produced by electronic or mechanical means.
2.0 All cheques over $25,000 shall be signed by any of the aforementioned individuals and such signature may be produced by electronic or mechanical means, and counter-signed by the Mayor or a member of Council who has signing authority.
