PRIVATE DOCK DEVELOPMENT GUIDELINES PUBLIC CONSULTATION PLAN REPORT
RECOMMENDATION:
THAT the Committee recommend that Council consider approval of the Private Dock Development Guidelines Public Consultation Plan at a future Council meeting as attached to the report from the Planning Technician at the December 13, 2011 Committee of the Whole meeting and subject to noticing as per the requirements of Bylaw 730;

SUMMARY:
The Private Dock Development Guidelines Public Consultation Plan document provides a comprehensive public consultation plan for private dock development guidelines and shoreline regulation for the Esquimalt Harbour portion of the Town of View Royal. It provides a background of the issue, a description of the audience it wishes to reach, a vision, a set of goals the Plan wishes to achieve, the methodology by which the Town will achieve these goals, and the Plan’s timeline and implementation strategy.
ALTERNATIVES TO RECOMMENDATION:
- THAT the Committee receive this report for information.
- THAT the Committee recommend that Council consider an amended Private Dock Development Guidelines Public Consultation Plan (amendment to be established by the Committee).
RECOMMENDATION:
THAT the Committee recommend that Council consider approval of the Private Dock Development Guidelines Public Consultation Plan at a future Council meeting as attached to the report from the Planning Technician at the December 13, 2011 Committee of the Whole meeting and subject to noticing as per the requirements of Bylaw 730;
