A draft bylaw amendment to the Town's primary Sign Bylaw to ensure its terminology regarding election signs is consistent with the proposed election procedures amendments.

DRAFT BYLAW NO. 1076
A BYLAW TO AMEND SIGN BYLAW NO. 950, 2018
The Council of the Town of View Royal, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows:
This Bylaw may be cited as “Sign Bylaw No. 950, 2018, Amendment Bylaw No. 1076, 2022”.
Sign Bylaw No. 950, 2018 is hereby amended as follows:
a.) By deleting in Section 1.3 “Scope of Bylaw” b) (iv) the words “Highways Act” and replacing with “Transportation Act”.
b.) By deleting the Section 2.0 “Election Sign” definition in its entirety and replacing with the following:
“Election Sign” means a sign used to promote the campaign activities or the cause of any individual or organization or to encourage or discourage any person to vote in any manner at a federal, provincial, or local government election or other similar type of voting event.
