Dear Mayor and Council,
My name is Lee Kupiak, and I am the owner of Thomis Electric, located at 252 Island Highway in View Royal — directly adjacent to the property at 254 Island Highway that is the subject of this parking variance application.
I am writing in full support of the application brought forward by White Wolf Homes.
As the immediate neighbouring business, I am perhaps best positioned to speak to the practical realities of parking and traffic activity along this stretch of Island Highway. I want to share my perspective directly with Council.
The building at 254 Island Highway has sat vacant for approximately three years. During that time, the property has contributed nothing to the local business community. White Wolf's proposal to bring it back into active use as a professional office is, in my view, a positive and responsible outcome for the neighbourhood.
I encourage Council to support this application. Activating a long-vacant commercial building with a quiet, low-impact office tenant is good for View Royal — and as the neighbour who will be most directly affected, I have no concerns whatsoever.
