We are in receipt of the Notice of Application for a Development Variance Permit for 254 Island Highway.
We are totally opposed to this request moving forward.
As residents of Island Highway our complex has been severely impacted by the current lack of parking for the residents of 280 Island Highway and the lack of parking for the four businesses at the corner of Stormont and Island Highway. We have a steady stream of people visiting the noted properties who chose to park on our property and as a result are in trespass.
The Town of View Royal's failure to enforce the two hour parking limit for the parking spaces fronting our property has resulted in some residents of 280 Island Highway using those spaces for long term parking and contributes to the lack of parking spaces necessary to service the four businesses at the top of the hill.
Removal of 11 parking spaces as requested will only increase the unauthorized traffic flow to our property as individuals seek places to park. Consequently we are totally opposed to this request for variance.
Owners of Island Highway.
