PURPOSE:

To establish a policy for the security of the Town Hall.

DEFINITIONS:

POLICY:

  1. Keys for the main door to the Town Hall and Administration area are controlled by the Chief Administrative Officer. Keys are to be signed for and will be allocated to the following personnel:
    • Mayor and Councillors, if requested
    • Chief Administrative Officer, Treasurer/Collector
    • Other members of staff or others (ie. Engineering Advisor, Custodian) as deemed necessary by the Chief Administrative Officer.
  2. The last person leaving the Town Hall is to ensure the doors and windows are locked and the security system alarm is set.
