SUMMARY OF OPPORTUNITY
The Town of View Royal (the “Town”) invites qualified and experienced Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to submit proposals for comprehensive managed information technology services. The current contract is nearing expiry, and while a start date had previously been anticipated for May 1, 2026, the final start date will be determined following the conclusion of the RFP process.
The successful Proponent will provide end‑to‑end administration and support to clients across the Town’s network, server, cloud, and end‑user environments, while delivering project execution and proactive strategic guidance to support municipal service delivery.
Background & Current Environment
- Two primary locations interconnected via fibre Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS): Town Hall and Public Works/Parks; support also extends to the Public Safety Building.
- Fibre gateway internet connectivity.
- Core infrastructure: 8 virtual machines (VMs) on 5 host servers, and approximately 88 endpoint devices (desktops/laptops/tablets).
- Cloud platform and identity: Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams) with Hybrid Azure Active Directory (AAD) and Azure Intune Mobile Device Management (MDM).
- System backups are hosted and managed by Thrive Networks.
- Primary line‑of‑business applications: Vadim iCity financials, Esri GIS, AutoCAD, iCompass meeting management, and FDM CAD (Fire Department Management) computer‑aided dispatch.
