From: skinners39 Sent: June-17-18 10:55 PM To: +david screech Cc: 'Don Evans' Subject: therapeutic centre

Dear Mayor Screech,

Florence and I will be unable to attend Tuesday's discussion by council of the plan for a therapeutic centre in the old remand centre at the end of Talcott Road, so we thought we should write to you in support of the new plan put forward by Choices.

We have greatly admired the work done by Don Evans and his staff over the past couple of years, providing a place where people who had hit hard times could recover their equilibrium and be assisted in re-entry to the job market and the larger society, The whole operation was conducted on Choices' part with the utmost compassion and diplomacy.

We believe the new operation will be of immense value to our community and will serve as a model for the whole country. It is good to see View Royal and B.C. playing a pioneering part in such an innovative project.

Doug and Florence Skinner, #6-14 Erskine Lane. Victoria, B.C.
