Request to paint yellow lines in front of all fire hydrants in View Royal to improve emergency access.

1 CALL TO ORDER
Date: March 17, 2013Address cited: 124 Paddock Place

From: Colleen Matthews Sent: March-17-13 11:50 AM To: Mayor And Council Email Cc: Paul Hurst Subject: Thank You

Dear Mayor Hill and Council,

Awhile back, I had requested through your staff that a yellow line be painted in front of a hydrant at 124 Paddock Place. Our daughter had just moved into a group home at that location that is the home for three wonderful woman who happen to have ongoing medical issues.

My concern was due to the number of vehicles parked on the street, especially directly in front of a hydrant. I felt that access for emergency vehicles to our daughter's new home was very limited.

My request was dealt with very professionally by your staff and was even followed up by a phone call. I was very impressed.....thank you!

With the recent devastating incident at 116 Paddock Place, I am requesting that all hydrants in your jurisdiction have yellow paint in front of them, allowing access to all emergency vehicles.

Thank you very much.

Colleen Matthews
