RE: Archaeological Field Reconnaissance of Proposed Dock Upgrades at 325 Bessborough Close

Meghan Fisher of Millennia Research visited the property located at 325 Bessborough Close, View Royal, BC on 4 March, 2010 to conduct an archaeological field reconnaissance of the waterfront and dock areas.

The property is at the top of a high bluff overlooking Limekiln Cove. Some low growing shrubs have a foothold on the bedrock, but vegetation is minimal. Introduced pine trees are located near the house.

The waterfront area is bare rock. No archaeological materials were observed in the area. Therefore, there are no archaeological concerns with any work proposed for the dock or waterfront areas.

If you have any questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely yours,

Diana Cooper, RPCA Senior Archaeologist
