Hello Mike,
The Following are the Transport Canada guidelines for the construction of Private Docks under Minor Works. Referral's from the Integrated Land Management Bureau, regarding the construction of Private Dock's, Must Follow the Minor Works Order Guidelines for a Dock. If your Dock proposal's meet these guidelines for a minor work, then you will NOT need to submit an application to Transport Canada for approval.
As this application meets with all the Navigable Waters Safety Program criteria, as indicated in your response below, there is No Need for you to submit an application to Transport Canada for approval.

- Docks and Boathouses are established as a class of works for the purposes of subsection 5.1(1) of the Act if;
(a) The Proposed Works ARE at Least 5 M's from the adjacent property boundaries and property line extensions; (b) The Proposed Works ARE at least 10 M's from any dock, boathouse or other structure that is fully or partially in, on or over the navigable waters; (c) The extremity of the Proposed Works that is furthest from the land IS at least 30 M's away from any navigation channel; (d) The Proposed Works DO NOT extend further in, on or over the navigable waters than any adjacent docks; (e) The Proposed Works ARE NOT associated with any Other proposed works, such as launch ramps, breakwaters, landfill, dredging and marinas; and (f) The Proposed Works ARE NOT used for float planes or other aircraft equipped with floats.
