DRAFT AMENDMENT TO ANIMAL CONTROL BYLAW NO. 614, 2005
RECOMMENDATION:
THAT Council give first, second and third readings to Animal Control Bylaw No. 614, 2005, Amendment Bylaw No. 861, 2013.

I concur with the recommendation.
PURPOSE OF REPORT:
To amend the licencing and impoundment fees as noted in Schedule “A”.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
On April 17, 2013 staff received a letter from the CRD Bylaw and Animal Care Services informing the Town that amendments had been made to the CRD Animal Regulation and Impounding Bylaw No. 1, 1986 effective April 10, 2013. The amendments to Schedules A and B of the CRD bylaw increased licence and impoundment fees.
Staff is requesting an amendment to Animal Control Bylaw No. 614, 2005 for the sake of regional consistency as noted in Attachment “A”.
RECOMMENDATION:
THAT Council give first, second and third readings to Animal Control Bylaw No. 614, 2005, Amendment Bylaw No. 861, 2013.
