Attachment 11 Letter from GT Mann on community amenities

Dear Mayor and Council,

Thank you for your comments and direction in the first and second readings held January 18, 2022. We are grateful to proceed to public hearing.

I wanted to address some of the comments made at the last council meeting.

We are committed to $4,000.00 per door for a total of $328,000.00 in Community Amenity Contributions. Further, understanding concerns from council and discussions with John Rosenburg, we would like to commit an additional $50,000.00 to the parks department towards Portage Park and the removal of invasive plants species and the planting of additional trees. We trust this will help provide a better experience for all who use and enjoy the park.

We have also made modifications to the underground parking structure to accommodate six trees that can fully mature, while maintaining the parking on our property. We will do this by indenting the exterior foundation in the parking structure bordering Portage Park to allow the trees to mature and not affect root balls.

I appreciate your consideration, and I look forward to addressing any question the public and council have at the Public Hearing.
