Good morning!

I own and reside at 2 Stoneridge Drive, first property off Watkiss way.

I recently attended the information open house presented by the promoter of the development at the intersection of Watkiss and Ernskine Lane.

I completely understood the promoter's intention to ease traffic and protect pedestrians and bikers. From my experience with the roundabout at the hospital, that is not a safe way for pedestrians, and because of lack of signaling, drivers prevent meeting the purpose of such a traffic control way.

Again yesterday, a pedestrian almost got hit by a white pick up truck in front of me at 8:00 in the morning, I had to slam on my brakes for not hitting the truck, so did the driver behind me.

Through the summer, late evening I heard numerous times, drivers spinning on Watkiss, heading toward the roundabout at the hospital and coming back.

I totally support a regular traffic light intersection, known to all users. We live in a safe municipality and we all want to keep it that way.

I hope that the residents' voice of Ernskin Lane and the Stoneridge subdivision will be heard.
