I am a long term View Royal resident and I support the development of the land between Prince Robert and the fire hall - 339, 341, and 345 Island Highway. The current plan calls for access to the development be from Prince Robert Drive with no access from Island Highway. This will mean that the majority of residents of the development will use Prince Robert and View Royal Avenue as access roads. Leaving the complex, residents will turn left and go up Prince Robert hill and along View Royal Avenue to either Helmcken Road or to the town hall /Four Mile exit. This will be a huge increase in traffic. Prince Robert and View Royal Avenue are really just narrow country lanes and are not prepared for the influx of cars. Is the developer or town prepared to expand and upgrade the entire length of Prince Robert Drive and View Royal Avenue? Do the residents who live along these roads want these changes?
