I see that there is going to be discussion this coming Tuesday, June 16th about the developments at #7 & #9 Erskine. Are we able to attend this meeting? If not, should this not be postponed, or is there a way that we could have a zoom meeting that all View Royal residents could weigh in on??
I am concerned that View Royal is not considering having a sidewalk on both sides of Erskine Lane. As I mentioned a few months back at one of your council meetings, View Royal already owns the boulevard on our side of the road and most of the curb is already installed, so I'm not sure why View Royal does not want to put in a sidewalk on our side. You can not have any construction work happening when people have to walk down the street, as there's no other place to walk. I also would like to see a light at the Erskine/Stoneridge/Burnside intersection as this would allow people to cross the road safely and for cars to exit Erskine and for cars to exit Stoneridge more safely. I can't see how adding 400-700 units on Erskine isn't going to change the traffic in the area. Do I need to send you another copy of the petition that I handed into council last year? We are not against the developments, just want the proper infrastructure in place. Please find a way for the public to be able to address all the council during this pandemic time, other municipalities seemed to have found a way.
