Mayor and Council,

Please find attached emails from Melissa Murray and Robin Quenet.

In the Robin Quenet email, he refers to the petition that was circulated throughout the View Royal and Saanich neighbourhoods at the time of the second Committee of the Whole on the old application. Once again, we urge Council not to take that petition into account in your thinking with regard to opposition to the Eagles Nest proposed development.

1. The petition was generated on a different application and is no longer applicable.
2. The petition was incorrectly circulated using the original proposal for the 6 storey buildings at the corner. If fact we had revised our proposal and were before the Committee of the Whole with a totally different massing plan.
3. Melissa Murray clearly states in her email that her signature to the petition was gained under the false presence that it was to ensure she was kept informed on further development. We wonder how many signatures were gained under similar false pretenses and how much that petition affected Councils decision to turn down our application?

Please keep in mind that we have been totally above board and transparent with our proposals and that the new proposal is a completely different application resulting from considerable communication with the community with particular focus on mitigating concerns expressed by our immediate neighbours.
