RECOMMENDATION:
THAT Council adopt the Council & Committee of the Whole 2014 meeting schedule.

PURPOSE OF REPORT:
To provide Council with the 2014 meeting schedule for Council & Committee of the Whole as attached hereto as Attachment “A”.
DISCUSSION:
The 2014 UBCM Convention is being held in Whistler, BC from September 22-26 and the AVICC Convention is being held April 11-13, 2014 in Qualicum Beach, BC. This means that neither convention will impact the proposed Council and Committee of the Whole 2014 meeting schedule.
Recent amendments to the Town's Procedure Bylaw state that no Council meetings or Committee of the Whole meeting will be held in the month of a local government Mayoral and/or Councillor election in the Town. Therefore, there will be no Council meetings or Committee of the Whole meeting held in the month of November 2014.
Also, as the Town Hall will be closed for Christmas holidays and re-opening on Thursday, January 2, 2014 the first scheduled meeting for January is the Committee of the Whole meeting on January 14, 2014.
