a) Development Permit Application No. 2014/02 – "Lakeside Village Commercial" – 430 Six Mile Road

  1. Report dated April 10, 2014 from the Senior Planner

The Senior Planner gave an overview of the application to amend an existing development permit for Council.

Council and staff discussed the retaining wall and awnings.

C-70-14 THAT Development Permit Application No. 2014/02 be approved as per the plans attached to the report dated April 10, 2014 from the Senior Planner titled "Development Permit Application No. 2014/02 – Lakeside Village Commercial – 430 Six Mile Road;

AND THAT Development Permit Application No. 2014/02 include the following variances:

  • Variance to the projection of a sunlight control projection into the required yard facing Six Mile Road from 0.5m to 2.0m for Buildings A and B
  • Variance to the maximum height of a fence (retaining wall) from 2.5m to 4.5m. CARRIED

b) Financial Institution Appointment

a) Recommendations from the Committee of the Whole meeting held April 8, 2014

C-72-14 THAT a report be prepared describing a.) the requirements to achieve to 0% tree canopy net loss and b.) alternative approaches to achieve some reductions to tree canopy net loss;

AND THAT the report also include information regarding the resources required to provide a free boulevard tree program. CARRIED

b) Land Use Bylaw, 1990, No. 35, Amendment Bylaw No. 759, 2009 A Bylaw to Amend the Land Use Bylaw with Respect to the Amendment of the Comprehensive Development (Casino): CD-6 Zone and the Rezoning of 1680 Island Highway and the Adjacent Closed Portion of Wilfert Road to Subzone B of the CD-6 Zone
