Project Goal: Create eight new garden beds at the View Royal Community Garden using volunteer labour. Maintain the new garden beds. Create a possible template for future expansion of the community garden.

Organization's Objectives: To create garden space for residents of the Town of View Royal in the spirit of community-building.

Budget: Existing bank balance of $570 of which $130 is needed to secure name and to apply to form a non-profit society.

Future Budget: $250 – 300 each for materials for new garden beds

Nature and Goals of Project: The creation of eight new garden spaces at View Royal Community Garden as a possible model for future expansion of the gardens and to incorporate a number of new gardeners with a long history of volunteerism involving community gardens.

While the new gardeners will provide the necessary labour entailed in sourcing building material and constructing the new garden spaces, the gardeners are applying for grant in aid funds in order to purchase high quality building materials that will compliment the existing garden spaces and provide durability with minimal maintenance requirements into the future.

Benefits to Town of View Royal: Further expansion of garden plots available to View Royal residents and elimination of site maintenance duties to the Town.
