1 CALL TO ORDER
Graham and Wendy HaymesFour Mile PubReduction of 18 seats to cover 5 parking stalls lost

Four Mile Pub 199 Island Hwy V9B 1G1 Victoria B.C.

Dear Mayor and Council,

The Four Mile Pub has recently added a successful brewing operation on site. As our business grows we are selling more product off site to other private retailers. Our products are unfiltered, handmade craft beers. Being that our products are unfiltered we require them to be kept cold so as they do not spoil. Our current cooled space is not sufficient to hold our product. Selling to offsite retailers is a critical part of our business model. Therefore extra storage space is necessary to meet sales targets our business needs to stay successful.

We are proposing adding two storage containers on site in the lower parking lot area sitting against the raised wall of the upper parking area. We propose cladding the containers with siding and a roof so they have the English Tudor look that Four Mile is known for. By doing this, the containers will be concealed and look pleasing to the eye.

After our current rezoning last summer we removed 18 seats from our pub. These containers will use 5 parking spaces. The reduction in seats will cover the loss of parking stalls, maintaining a proper parking to seating ratio.

Our goal is to keep providing a unique service to View Royal. We believe we will be enhancing the community, while maintaining the same look, feel and operation of our establishment.

Sincerely,

Graham and Wendy Haymes.
