The Victoria Fastball Club is preparing a bid package to host the 2015 U14 ‘A’ Girls National Softball Championships in August next year and we were hoping that we would be able to count on the support of the Town of View Royal.

The Victoria Fastball Club has in the past, hosted many Provincial Championships at Helmcken-Centennial Park as well as the 2010 U16 ‘A’ Girls National Softball Championships with great feedback from many of the teams we have hosted from across Canada. We are expecting anywhere from 20-24 participating teams and we would be canvassing the hotels and businesses in View Royal to support us as well. It would be a 5-6 day tournament in the middle of August so it would be a great time for the local businesses.

As part of our Tournament Bid Package, we require a Letter of Endorsement from View Royal as our host Municipality as well as the View Royal Parks Department. We have enjoyed a good relationship with your parks department over that time as well and I hope we can count on them as well for a Letter of Endorsement.

If there’s a chance we could get Letters of Endorsement from both the Office of the Mayor as well as your Parks Director (Office), that would be great. Any help you can give the Victoria Fastball Club in securing these National Championships for View Royal would be greatly appreciated!

I do apologize for asking, but because of the approaching Bid deadline we would also need the letters back to us as soon as possible.
