I would like to thank the mayor and council of the Town of View Royal for their ongoing support of the Canada Day festivities at Fort Rodd Hill & Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Sites of Canada. This year’s celebration saw over 6200 participants through the gates of the sites- easily a modern day record. It is good to know that, despite the hard economic times that we are all undergoing, the Town of View Royal sees the merit in taking the time to recognize what a special country that we have the privilege to call home.
From the site volunteers and staff, I again thank-you for your ongoing support and look forward to working with you again next July 1.
