Hello,
I’ve received a notice regarding an application for a development variance permit regarding the property at 2679 Myra Place to be discussed at the council meeting on March 1st. I own 232 Atkins Road, so I’m trying to better understand this application so that I can determine its potential impacts. What is the practical result of this application, if approved? My main concern is that we current access the galloping goose trail via the driveway to that property. Because we have young children, we are not able to otherwise safely access the goose with our stroller or children’s bicycles. There are no sidewalks in this section of Atkins Road and there’s a blind and tight corner on the hill up to the goose. If the application is approved, will it limit public access to the driveway & the goose trail? Is there any way to ensure continued public access to the goose via this route, or is it within the owners right to limit access? If so, does View Royal have plans to install sidewalks or other access points? Thanks so much in advance for your response & any clarify you’re able to provide.
