Subject: 1947 Highland road Reconsideration for tree removal
Good Morning,
I have provided some images of the tree that was denied a removal permit and I wish to submit an application for reconsideration for this tree. I request that you note the lean towards the house and the exposed root system, also the tree has been measured more accurately at 21.5” diameter, please let me know if I will need an arborists report as I am trying to save money if not required. My intention is to remove this tree to prevent my gutters filling up all the time, branches falling on my roof, the needles on the tree are ruining my deck as they are holding moisture between the deck boards causing them to rot and now I have many boards needing to be replaced. My biggest concern is the lean of the tree towards the house and exposed root system that is only rooted to shallow soil on top of solid rock and the amount the tree moves when it is windy as my bedroom is directly below the tree. If you would like to send someone to look at the tree and meet with me I would be more than happy to explain my issues and concerns. I would also like to add that the replacement plants would be 8-10 foot cedar shrubs numbering between 12- 15, and these are in addition to the 27 that I have already planted at the rear of my property. My neighbour has also expressed his desire to remove the tree as he got rid of a danger tree last year that was also endangering both of our houses and this one endangers my house and his garage.
Thank You
Riley Flynn
