Dear View Royal Council.
Re; Proposed Overhead Cable Car Gondola Transit connector over Esquimalt Harbour.
Attached find a proposal requesting View Royal Council participate in a joint pre-feasibility study with neighbouring municipal Councils, federal and local agencies to improve year round public transit from Colwood to Esquimalt, DND and Victoria over a new transportation corridor. This would provide improved access benefits in both directions to all parties.
Request:
- That Council confirm its interest in participating in a joint pre feasibility study with other local and federal departments for a new overhead transit cable car gondola from Colwood to Esquimalt over Esquimalt Harbour,
- That Council budget $20,000 for its share of this study in 2022.
