Good Evening Council,
I was not able to get my question into the question period this evening due to issues with MSTeam.
My question is regarding the committees motion that was tabled,
As a member of the public, I cannot find any information on the Town’s Site that describes the purpose and scope of each of the town’s proposed sub-committees. Can the council please provide information as to the role and scope for each of the committees, please. This may help with public interest and engagement.
For example - when I look up - Parks, Recreation and Environment - the description read “for parks, recreation, and environmental matters as well as the engagement of View Royal residents and businesses in these matters."
Furthermore, I also cannot find a description on how each of the sub-committees may inform each other. For example, would the “Environment” committee also inform Parks and Recreation, Planning, Development and Engagement and perhaps transportation as well?
I personally am interested in participating in a committee as it relates to the Environment but for matters that deal with development within the Town.
