- Hon. Judge Karina Sacca, Provincial Court of British Columbia, will administer the Oath of Office to Mayor Tobias and the Corporate Officer to present the Chain of Office.

Staff Recommendation: THAT Council adopt the Council and Committee of the Whole 2023 Meeting Schedule.

Staff Recommendation: THAT the 2022 general local election results from the Chief Election Officer, provided pursuant to sections 158(1) and (2) of the Local Government Act, be received.

NEW BUSINESS a) Advisory Committees - Mayor Tobias
- Establishment of Advisory Committees
Recommendation: THAT the following advisory committees be established:
- Parks and Recreation
- Environment
- Arts and Culture
- Planning, Development and Engagement
- Transportation
Recommendation: THAT the following be appointed as advisory committee Liaisons for the year 2023:
- Parks and Recreation, Liaison, Councillor Damian Kowalewich
- Environment, Liaison, Councillor Alison MacKenzie
- Arts and Culture, Liaison, Councillor Gery Lemon
- Planning, Development and Engagement, Liaison, Councillor Ron Mattson
- Transportation, Liaison, Councillor John Rogers
AND THAT Mayor Sid Tobias and Councillor Don Brown be appointed as alternates for all advisory committees.
Recommendation: THAT the Advisory Committee Terms of Reference/Mandate be amended to reflect the change to the advisory committee structure.
b) Appointments
- Appointments of Approving Officer and Building Official
Staff Recommendation: THAT the previous appointment of Lindsay Chase to the position of Approving Officer be hereby rescinded;
AND THAT the previous appointment of Dave Slobaden to the position of Building Official be hereby rescinded;
AND THAT Leanne Taylor be appointed as the Approving Officer;
AND FURTHER THAT Justin Wagner be appointed as the Building Official.
