RE: Development Variance Permit Application – 280 Island Highway

The owners of Strata Plan EPS5170 located at 280 Island Highway held a special general meeting on May 25, 2022, to convert the covered courtyard use to secure bicycle parking. The owners voted in favour of the conversion which would provide 24 class 1 bike storage spaces.

On April 12, 2022, the Committee of the Whole also recommended that the floor mounted rack between parking spaces 15 & 16 be removed. This can be accommodated. They also provided two options for the maneuvering aisles. The strata council is investigating which option would work the best for the strata owners.

The strata fully supports the development application submitted by Alan Lowe Architect and is happy to work with the Town of View Royal’s suggestions as needed.
