RCSCC Rainbow and Navy League support during November 11 observances
Good morning Mayor Tobias and Council,
I am writing as a parent to two Cadets. This year was the first year we have observed November 11 in Esquimalt, we usually attend at the Leg. I was blown away with the procession and participation in Esquimalt.
I was also so proud of our corps. Our CO, Lt(N) Valorie Logan CD, told us that many of our cadets were unexpected asked to participate in the Flag Party to make up gaps. These young people (P2s) stepped up and honoured our Military in great form.
Additionally, 38/41 RCSCC 5 RAINBOW Cadets and most of the 1 NLCC ADMIRAL RAYNER Navy League Cadets showed up early and stood the entire time, quite a feat for some of the nine year olds (and 14 year olds).
My ask today is for a letter to the Navy League of Canada recognizing both RCSCC Rainbow and 1 NLCC ADMIRAL RAYNER Navy League for their support. These are some of the first Corps in Canada and we are very proud of them.
For your convenience I have identified the contact information:
Lt(N) Valorie Logan CD Commanding Officer Victoria Sea Cadets HMCS MALAHAT Naval Reserve Division 20 Huron St, Victoria, BC V8V 4R1 Val.Logan@cadets.gc.ca
