Re: 406 Creed Road, Application for Variance – Rear Yard Setback for New Deck Construction
I previously had a deck in my rear yard that became unstable and required repairs. As a result, I demolished the existing structure and began construction of a new deck. The city bylaw officer subsequently visited the site and informed me that a building permit was required for the work. I was unaware of this requirement and sincerely apologize for proceeding without the necessary permit.
Following consultation with my designer, I have been advised that I must apply for a variance to relax the rear yard setback from 6 meters to 3.02 meters. I respectfully request that you consider my application.
