TOWN OF VIEW ROYAL ITEM(S) TO BE ADDED TO AGENDA

Meeting date:

  • Year: 2025
  • Month: March
  • Day: 18

Meeting Body:

  • Council
  • Committee of the Whole

If you wish to have items included on the agenda, please fill out the form below and return to Elena Bolster by 12:00 noon on the Thursday preceding the meeting date.

Date: March 12 2025

Name of Council Member: John Rogers

Details of item to be added: BUSINESS ARISING MOTION: That new Eltham townhouse development road improvements on Eltham Street be amended to include two separate exit turn lanes-- left and right -- onto Helmcken. Alternate option: to install physical "no left turn" barrier on Helmcken forcing all Eltham exit vehicles and cyclists to travel north to the Phasant Lane roundabout and return back up. ISSUE: any additional cars (>20) and service vehicles for this development will significantly increase congestion, frustration, safety concerns and will decrease property values. The increased Bill 44 housing density on Helmcken frequent bus route will require no left turns. "Rat running" too.
