On behalf of Council and the residents of View Royal, please accept my warmest congratulations on your election as the Member of Parliament for Esquimalt–Saanich–Sooke.

Your decision to step forward for public service, yet again, is commendable and deeply appreciated. In choosing to serve, you continue a proud tradition of representing our region with commitment and integrity. We look forward to the energy and perspective you will bring to Parliament and to the important work ahead.

This is a critical time for our community and for the country. Challenges related to trade, the environment, addiction, affordability, health care, and housing continue to shape the daily lives of the people we serve. I am eager to work closely with you to ensure that View Royal—and the entire region—remains resilient and well-supported as we respond to these pressures and chart a course forward.

Please know that our local government remains committed to partnership, collaboration, and shared advocacy. I look forward to meeting with you soon to discuss how we can align our efforts in the best interests of our residents.
