Dear Mayor Tobias and Council,

On behalf of Destination Greater Victoria (DGV), I would like to extend my sincere thanks for the Town of View Royal’s recent decision to join DGV as a member. This marks an exciting new chapter in our shared efforts to champion tourism and sustainable economic growth across the region.

Destination Greater Victoria is proud to be a membership-based organization, representing more than 950 members from across Greater Victoria. Together, we have celebrated great success, building a strong visitor economy, achieving global recognition, and attracting visitors who support our local businesses. Partnerships with local governments are critical to this success, and we are excited to strengthen our relationship with the Town of View Royal.

I would like to invite your Council to nominate a representative to serve on Destination Greater Victoria’s Transportation & Destination Management Committee. This committee is responsible for guiding key strategies related to transportation, visitor mobility, and the overall management of our destination. Having a representative from View Royal will bring valuable insights and leadership, ensuring your community’s priorities are reflected as we advance sustainable and inclusive travel throughout Greater Victoria. DGV is committed to maintaining a robust and representative governance structure, with the Transportation & Destination Management Committee playing a vital role.
