2023-2026 STRATEGIC PLAN
PURPOSE:
To obtain approval for Council’s 2023-2026 Strategic Plan

OPTIONS:
- THAT the 2023-2026 Strategic Plan be approved as is; AND THAT consideration of the feedback provided be included as part of the planned annual “check-in” in late winter/spring 2025. (RECOMMENDED)
- THAT the 2023-2026 Strategic Plan be approved as is.
- THAT consideration of approval of the 2023-2026 Strategic Plan be tabled; AND THAT a further discussion of the 2023-2026 Strategic Plan be scheduled to take place at a regular meeting within the next month or two to facilitate in-depth consideration of the feedback provided.
STRATEGIC PLAN 2023-2026:
- Workshops:
- December 2022 – desire for high-level plan with short “to do” list as 85-90% staff time dedicated to core work
- March 2023 – discussed mission, vision, values, and resourcing the Plan; revised 4 of the 6 priority areas
- May 2023 – refined goals and identified areas of interest to consider for addition to the Plan
- January 2024 – discussed measuring, resourcing, & celebrating priorities and progress; setting priorities, community satisfaction
- Approved in principle March 2024 Committee of the Whole meeting
- Made available for public comment

STRATEGIC PRIORITY A: ENHANCE LIVEABILITY

be able to move around the community efficiently;
have a range of housing options close to services;
participate in community events and have a sense of belonging;
celebrate View Royal’s unique history.
