Details of item to be added:
MOTION: That the town collect baseline data from all neighbourhoods for traffic counts and traffic speeds in next 12 months.

RATIONALE: Important to implement Active Transportation mitigation for safety /comfort, ages and abilities on all our side streets. Enables town to plan and address traffic impact from 339-345 Island Highway development (bylaw 1128) on View Royal Avenue and exits to Island Highway. And Erskine Lane + Watkiss Way, etc. Further now the town has changed the zoning regulations (bylaw 1135 and 1139) to comply with provincial regulatory requirements. Essential information to consider where /kind of traffic calming measures will be required and when.

Lastly, important information for the coming OCP reivew. As well, the planned Transportation Master Plan review and DCC review to follow (how to pay for anticipated $18m sidewalk implementation.)
