Dear Mayor and Council
We would like to raise two points concerning the draft annual report, in addition to those already submitted by VRCC’s Ian Brown.
On Page 31, under STRATEGIC PRIORITY - SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS: 2023 PROJECTS & INITIATIVES, an update of the sustainability checklist is reported to be underway, however we were disappointed to see no estimated completion date given for this important long awaited update.
Can one please be added.
We also would like to draw your attention to Page 32 and the STRATEGIC PRIORITY - CLIMATE ACTION & ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP GOALS:
Quote “Support climate change mitigation and adaptation measures with an emphasis on transportation systems and energy efficient buildings. “
The VRCC asks that the Climate Action & Environmental Stewardship Goals also note an emphasis on Tree Canopy.
